In todays society, it is common for people to have to carry out repetitive tasks in their daily lives for someone else.

These third parties usually want to be able to follow the progress of the task they have given and would like to make sure that the task will be completed in

In this kind of situation, several important questions arise:
1. How to keep track of the history of these tasks to be done and done?
2. How can we ensure that the receiver will carry out the tasks on time?
3. How do we keep them motivated in the long term?

To answer the first question, the giver will often use a sheet of paper with a to-do list on which to note the tasks that have been completed and those that remain to be done.

However, it is easy to lose this sheet and/or for the receiver to forget to notify the giver. This leads to very approximate (or no) follow-up and also to a lack of history necessary for task management.

The second issue is related to the possibility to control and monitor the completion of the given tasks.

As there is often no trace of what has been requested (loss of the document or no notification), it is very difficult to check what has or has not been done and especially to tell the receiver to carry out the requested tasks.

The third problem is usually simply shifted to the receivers side. It’s often his task to find vectors of motivation.

The giver often considers that it is up to the receiver to stay motivated and is not concerned about this issue at all. There is often a decrease in the receivers motivation in the long term.

These few issues (and many more) will be addressed with my "Dutine" application.

Dutine is a cross-platform mobile application that will allow to track, manage and control the tasks assigned to certain users and, above all, to motivate receivers to perform the requested tasks (or even more) in time and correctly by introducing a system of rewards and sanctions.

The fact that this solution is a cross-platform mobile application and that it offers the possibility for each task to be validated by the giver or the receiver, solves the first problem we mentioned in point 1.

Indeed, as all information is stored in the cloud and it is uncommon to lose ones smartphone, it will be almost impossible to lose the information related to the follow-up of a task.

In addition, the fact that both parties can validate a task ensures that the tracking is as accurate as possible due to the trust relationship established between the giver and the receiver.

Finally, as this application will offer a history for each task it contains, it will be easy for the giver to see how the receiver behaves with regard to the tasks he has to do, which guarantees total transparency and better monitoring of the tasks, thus answering the third problem we mentioned in point 1.

In order to answer the third question mentioned in point 1, this application is based on a system of rewards and sanctions. If a task is completed (or partially completed), the receiver receives a reward and if it is not completed within the time limit set by the giver, then the receiver is sanctioned.

This is a fairly common approach, but the innovative aspect is that the giver defines a list of sanctions and rewards directly in the application and will be advised to talk about it with his receiver.

He can then associate a sanction with a task and a number of points received if the task is completed or for each occurrence in which the receiver performs the task.

Once the receiver has received points, they can use them to "buy" rewards from the list of rewards defined by the giver.
